Mr. Rothseid has over twenty five years of professional experience within the insurance and reinsurance industry as a:

- General Counsel and Director of American and Bermudian property and casualty run off insurers and reinsurers

Mr. Rothseid has served as a lawyer, general counsel, executive officer, director and scheme of arrangement advisor for insurers and reinsurers in run off.
Mr. Rothseid is an independent director of ACA Financial Guaranty Corporation and a member of the Risk and Audit Committees.
Recent advisory engagements include responsibility for managing the succesful run off and solvent closure of Y-Mutual Insurance Ltd. (Bermuda) and serving as the Commutation Plan Advisor for GTE REinsurance Company Limited (Rhode Island), the first US “solvent scheme of arrangement.” Mr. Rothseid designed, drafted and is responsible for implementing GTE REinsurance Company Limited’s pending Rhode Island Commutation Plan.
Mr. Rothseid is a frequent speaker, writer, expert witness and ARIAS·U.S. certified arbitrator in varied matters effecting the global insurance and reinsurance industry.

- Representative National Experience
- Advised on the strategies, operational and regulatory aspects of each of the most significant exits from the US property and casualty market in the last eight years
- Member of the Connecticut Insurance Department Special Task Force on Insurance Company Run Off and Reorganization
- Drafted the enabling regulations (Regulation 68) for Chapter 27-14.5 of the Rhode Island Insurance Code “Voluntary Restructuring of Solvent Insurers”
- Representative Bermuda Experience
- Developed and supervised the implementation of solvent schemes of arrangement that delivered finality to several Bermuda domiciled insurance run off entities
- Evaluated the run off plans of US and Bermuda based reinsurance companies on behalf of business owners, investors and regulators
- Investigated US and Bermuda based reinsurance companies for acquirers of run off portfolio
- Representative London Market Experience
- Generated significant net asset value as the Managing Director of a London Market run off company allowing the run off owner to exit the business
- Established large value offsets of reinsurance balances between London Market insurance clients and a significant US insolvent estate
